Koro River Camp is located on the mighty Limpopo River in the Kwa Tuli Private Game Reserve in The Central Tuli Block. The Central Tuli Block is a large wilderness area in excess of 60,000 hectares bordering the famous Northern Tuli Block. Completely unfenced it is home to large herds of elephants, eland, brown and spotted hyena, lions, the occasional cheetah but foremost and for all, home to a large leopard population. Over and above this the bird life in our area is comprises of a number of rare and endangered species such as the Pel’s Fishing Owl, various Parrot species and variety of Storks. Within this area Koro River Camp has the exclusive and sole rights to traverse in an area of no less than 6,000 hectares and in total more than 10,000 hectares.
The game in combination with the spectacular diverse landscape varying from koppie (rocky hills) ranges to natural springs, open savannah and one of the most unique riverine forests makes the Camp a destination for the experienced traveler.
Koro River Camp comprises of 7 tent combinations and each tent is built on a large deck of approximately 100m2 all directly bordering the Limpopo River. It sleeps maximum 18 people and each tent is set apart far from the others in order to guarantee maximum privacy. One tent combination has two extra smaller guest tents specially designed for small families and is set apart from the other 6 tents. Each tent has a luxury bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower and its own plunge pool.
It furthermore has a central complex with a large indoor dining/bar area what can be used for conferences as well, a separate lounge tent if one wants to read or just enjoy a drink in solitude and a luxury boma area in which the chef will prepare your diner whilst you sip your drinks next to the fire.
Whilst undergoing a luxurious relaxed spa treatment on the riverbanks, watch crocodiles and hippos.
